PHASE 3 CONSTRUCTION
The long title for “phase 3” of our most recent restoration effort is “Restoring Historic Function and Character-Defining Elements in the Dreamland Ballroom.” The grant work in this phase focuses primarily on front-of-house refurbishments. This is the first round of work in a long time to center on historic restoration instead of code compliance. The work will include stage restoration, leveling the floors, and rebuilding the apron. Installing new, replicated ceiling tiles to match the existing. Various plaster work around the proscenium (opening) of the stage. As well as emergency and historically accurate house lighting.
